CobraHelp is thrilled to announce the launch of our new website Monday, January 26th!
As CobraHelp clients, we value your support for our organization and it is a commitment of our company to make your experience a rewarding one.
Our new website offers valuable timesaving features, accessible COBRA resources, user-friendly navigation, and video tutorials to help your human resources department or brokerage firm get things done efficiently whether you’re on the go or at the office.
We will continue to add features to the website throughout 2015. Some of the new features will include instant reporting, view and print your bill online, update multiple types of contacts online, download templates for updating your employee census, broker administrative feature, view participant and employee records, and the ability to submit multiple events at once. The new features will be accessible from any device -- PC, smart phone, or tablet! Our website was uniquely designed with the recommendations and feedback received from our valued customers. The new site can be found at www.mycobrahelp.com as of Monday, January 26th. Your dedicated Account Manager will be available to assist you with any questions or concerns as we continue to add features to the website. In addition, tutorial videos will be available for any new features. Affordable Care Act Changes That May Impact Your CobraHelp Service The Department of Labor and Federal government have issued guidance that the requirement to provide a HIPAA Certificate will no longer be necessary after January 1, 2015 due to the fact that the Affordable Care Act has outlawed preexisting conditions exclusions. Effective January 1, 2015, group health plans and insurers are no longer required to issue a certificate of creditable coverage (“HIPAA Certificate”) to individuals who lost group health plan coverage. HIPAA Certificates were used by individuals to prove that they had continuous health coverage under a prior health plan in order to offset a preexisting condition exclusion period under a new health plan. See final regulations here: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-02-24/pdf/2014-03809.pdf This may impact you if you have CobraHelp’s HIPAA Certificate Service. If you have this service and wish to discontinue in lieu of the recent law changes, please contact our office and we will cancel your HIPAA Certificates effective immediately.
